Heny Garret is a moron. 5/4/2006 9:09:30 AM
He says we can't tow the cars of those driving without insurance because there is not enough room in the impound lots to hold the all. BWAHAHAHA!!!! A clue for the clueless Henry Garret: Build more lots! Sell the impounded cars to pay for them. Contract it out. Give one of your buddies an opportunity to make a little money.

Hmm, maybe I should buy a dozen acres and have a sit-down with Henry.

Who was it that towed Mark''s son''s car? 5/4/2006 6:21:19 PM
Strange how selective this issue is?

It''s not just Henry. He has help sitting on the left and right of him at the City Council meetings.

Are you living in Corpus Christ now Curm? I remember that you told me you recently moved, which was actually months ago. I hope you''re not like all the other outsiders on the forum taking shots at someone that doesn''t represent you.

Naw, I don''t live in Corpus Christ . . . 5/4/2006 10:35:46 AM
. . . but I feel free to take pot shots at stupid politicians no matter where they live. Y''all figure that the mayors of San Antonio and Dallas are smarter than ole Heny, they figured out a way to pull it off.

Curtis - I hope you''re not like all the other outsiders on the forum taking shots at someone that doesn''t represent you. This arguement doesn''t hold much water. I may not live here, but I drive on the roads within the city limits at least 5 days a week. So I do have a vested interest in taking the uninsured motorists off the roads of Corpus Christi. I agree. Build the lots and the city will fill them up. Money can be recouperated through fines and auctions.

Well, we welcome you as a guest to our city - but we don''t care what you think about our representatives. Don''t get bent out of shape, I''m being sarcastic. As far as making money, if the city has a problem with scarce amounts of land for towed vehicles, then maybe we should pitch in and buy several acres. Charge the city a fee for dropping off the vehicle, charge the owner of the vehicle for picking up the vehicle, and sell any vehicles that are not claimed after the legally allowed timeframe. Also, contribute heavily to our politicians to make sure we get that sort of contract.

I quickly learned on here CUrtis that people can''t take a joke...sarcasm is lost on them.

Generally when someone is being sarcastic, they''ll add a little tag to the end. That is really the only way you can convey those thoughts. As far as the impound goes, I''m reminded of ""Field of Dreams"". Built it and they will come. I say go ahead and build it. It will pay for itself like I said in my earlier post. They shouldn''t have any problem recouperating the cost with all the uninsured drivers around here.
